Job Summary
Manage spare part inventory and hardware readiness for planned and unplanned maintenance needs at the Schenectady Cores and Castings Facility. Maintain accurate inventory levels in electronic MRP systems, conduct periodic physical audits, and develop critical spare parts lists with safety stock and re-order points. Coordinate contracted maintenance services, manage purchase order schedules, and drive Lean2Lead integration activities with global sourcing teams. Execute 2S and 5S lean practices for storage areas, interface with suppliers and the Materials Team, and partner with EHS on hazard analysis reviews. This first-shift role (7am-3pm) requires flexibility to manage communications across a three-shift operation. Associates Degree and 4+ years in manufacturing are required.
Required Qualifications
- Ability to work 1st Shift (7am-3pm)
- Associates Degree and 4 or more years' experience in manufacturing
- high school diploma /GED with a minimum of 6 years of experience in Manufacturing
- Knowledge of relevant Excel/Word packages
- familiarity with Electronic Management Systems such as Maximo, SAP, Ariba, and L2L
- Ability to understand, interpret, and create written technical information (i.e. work instructions, dimensional tolerances, and standard operating procedures)
- Experience with inventory control management
- Strong verbal and interpersonal skills
- Eligibility to work in the United States (U.S. Citizens, lawful permanent residents, or protected individuals)
- Ability to obtain authorization for access to U.S. export-controlled information from the U.S. Government
- Successful completion of a drug screen
