Job Summary
Manage spare part inventory and hardware readiness for planned and unplanned maintenance needs at the Schenectady Cores and Castings Facility. Maintain accurate inventory levels in electronic MRP systems, conduct periodic physical audits, and develop critical spare parts lists with safety stock and re-order points. Coordinate contracted maintenance services, manage purchase orders, and drive Lean2Lead integration activities with global sourcing teams. Execute 2S and 5S lean practices for storage areas, interface with suppliers and the Materials Team, and support EHS/Safety hazard analysis reviews. Act as a back-up to the Maintenance Leader and provide informal guidance to new team members. First shift assignment (7am-3pm) with flexibility for cross-shift communications. Requires Associates Degree or 6+ years manufacturing experience, proficiency in Maximo/SAP, and strong technical writing skills. 100% on-site at GE Vernova's Schenectady Campus.
Required Qualifications
- Ability to work 1st Shift (7am-3pm)
- Associates Degree and 4 or more years' experience in manufacturing, or a high school diploma /GED with a minimum of 6 years of experience in Manufacturing
- Knowledge of relevant Excel/Word packages
- Familiarity with Electronic Management Systems such as Maximo, SAP, Ariba, and L2L
- Ability to understand, interpret, and create written technical information (i.e. work instructions, dimensional tolerances, and standard operating procedures)
- Experience with inventory control management
- Strong verbal and interpersonal skills
- Eligibility to work in the United States (U.S. Citizens, lawful permanent residents, or protected individuals)
- Ability to obtain authorization for access to U.S. export-controlled information from the U.S. Government
- Successful completion of a drug screen
