Maintenance Millwright

Job Summary

Install, inspect, adjust, and repair equipment while following all safety rules and regulations. Perform daily inspections, fill out inspection sheets, and note items needing repair. Conduct routine preventative maintenance on equipment and building systems. Rebuild hydraulic and pneumatic cylinders, fabricate fixtures, and perform general welding repairs. Troubleshoot failed equipment, replace components such as blown fuses and drive belts, and assist electricians with machine repairs. Use milling machines and lathes as required. Maintain a safe and clean workspace, adhering to the Occupational Health and Safety Act and company policies. Work in a plant environment with a twelve-hour rotating continental shift, involving exposure to loud noise and heat, with overtime as needed.

Required Qualifications

  • 433A Industrial Millwright license
  • Minimum 3 years of millwright experience in an industrial manufacturing environment
  • Ability to install, maintain, test, troubleshoot, and repair electrical equipment
  • Good knowledge of hydraulic circuits/diagnostics
  • Basic electrical knowledge
  • Ability to read and interpret component drawings/blueprints
  • Proficient in welding
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal abilities
  • Solid interpersonal skills that allow for working effectively in a diverse work environment
  • Ability to take initiative on tasks and work with minimal supervision
  • Strong attention to detail and analytical thinking
  • Strong work ethic and positive team player attitude
  • Ability to multi-task and meet deadlines in a fast paced environment
  • Knowledge of health and safety best practices in a manufacturing environment
  • Twelve hour rotating continental shift
  • Exposure to loud noise and heat
  • May be required to lift up to 50lbs
  • Overtime as needed

Desired Qualifications

  • PLC experience
  • Basic knowledge of Microsoft suites
  • Megamation program
  • Previous experience with metal processing, heavy stamping, or die casting equipment
