Job Summary
Inspect, isolate, troubleshoot, and repair mechanical malfunctions and equipment using test instruments. Maintain and repair mechanical systems including motors, controls, scales, and new equipment while ensuring proper function of safety devices. Fabricate mechanical parts, follow blueprints to locate equipment, and monitor work for adherence to legislated requirements. Analyze and respond safely to routine and emergency repair calls. Maintain service and repair records and assist in writing specifications for repairs and new construction. Requires Department of Labour certificate for Licensed Industrial Mechanical Millwright, minimum 4 years of industrial millwright experience, and fluency in English. Overtime is double time; benefits include health, dental, vision, pension, and tuition assistance.
Required Qualifications
- High School Graduate or GED equivalency
- Department of Labour certificate for a Licensed Industrial Mechanical Millwright
- Minimum 4 years or 8000 hours of on-the-job millwright maintenance experience in an industrial manufacturing environment
- Demonstrated competency in preventative, predictive, basic care practices, and computerized maintenance management systems

- Total Productive Maintenance experience
- Prior experience demonstrating effective leadership skills
- Demonstrable teamwork and maturity with a strong work ethic
- Fluency in spoken and written English
