Job Summary
Maintain machinery throughout the mill to ensure efficient operations and decreased unscheduled machine down-time. Proficiently perform at least one primary craft including electrical, instrumentation, pipefitting, welding, or auto/diesel mechanics while safely operating tools, company vehicles, and overhead cranes. Hold self and others to high safety standards by enforcing lockout/tagout procedures, PPE requirements, and proper lifting techniques. Participate in safety incident investigations and operate equipment to ensure compliance with environmental regulations and procedural reporting. Work a 12-hour rotating shift including nights, weekends, and holidays in a physically demanding environment with exposure to steam, oil, and dust.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent
- Understand and comply with all manufacturing safety procedures including personal protective equipment
- Physically capable of manual labor that includes bending, walking, sitting, and climbing in and around machinery and equipment for entire 12-hour shift
- Able to lift, up to 40 lbs frequently, between 40 and 50 lbs occasionally, over 50 lbs minimally
- Able to work a 12-hour rotating shift including nights, weekends, and Holidays
- Able to work overtime as needed
- currently authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis
Desired Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years continuous work experience in a manufacturing, production, industrial, or labor-intensive work environment
- recent completion of technical program in Electro/Mechanics or Industrial Electrical programs
