Job Summary
Lead and execute all maintenance operations, managing daily shutdowns, preventative programs, and reliability-centered maintenance systems to ensure equipment uptime and process effectiveness. Direct a team of personnel, overseeing budget, spare parts inventory, and capital expenditure plans while auditing inspection programs for continuous improvement compliance. Collaborate with engineering on new equipment commissioning and resolve major breakdowns through team analysis to reduce technical downtime and waste. Schedule includes regular production floor presence across all shifts, including weekend and holiday coverage for 24/7 support. Bachelor's degree in engineering and 7–10 years of manufacturing supervision experience required. Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering or technically related field
- 7 to 10 years manufacturing experience in the areas of engineering, supervision and production management
- Minimum 5 years experience successfully supervising people in a manufacturing environment
- Experience with reliability centered maintenance: Management of CMMS, Pdm, PM, TPM
- Must be able to work as part of a team
- Must be a self-starter
- Must be able to work towards project objectives with minimal supervision
- Must be able to lift up to 25 lbs
- Must be able to walk, stand, and move throughout the facility for extended periods
- Must be able to climb stairs/platforms
- Must be available for periodic off-shift, weekend, and holiday coverage
- Must be available for regular presence on the production floor across all shifts
- Must be able to adapt communication style to interact with a wide variety of people
- Must be able to prioritize and organize objectives and targets to meet deadlines
- Must be able to lead by example
- Must be able to work as part of a team and have the determination to succeed in a challenging environment
- Must be able to communicate effectively with employees at all levels

- Must be able to manage the daily maintenance and shutdown activities within budgeted dollars, manning and material resources
- Must be able to standardize and maintain across all lines best workmanship best practices
- Must be able to instigate studies and actions to overcome technical downtime problems, to reduce waste and improve team performance
- Must be able to lead and manage the maintenance department toward a total preventive maintenance program
- Must be able to work with engineering department to ensure new equipment meets maintenance requirements
- Must be able to utilize engineering resources when plant issues require a higher level of intervention
- Must be able to lead, plan and execute all Maintenance operations
- Must be able to provide safe, reliable, ergonomic systems and machines
- Must be able to ensure that all personnel reporting to this position carry on with their responsibilities in a safe and professional manner
- Must be able to manage departmental budget, developing strategies to continually improve costs
- Must be able to ensure personnel in this area are kept at the proper competency level through development, apprenticeship, coaching, etc
- Must be able to ensure that all production – related equipment in the plant is maintained in a state of repair, in order to achieve efficiency and effectiveness with proper uptime, yields and throughput
- Must be able to audit preventative/predictive inspections and programs that support RCM to ensure effectiveness and continuous improvement compliance
- Must be able to manage the spare parts to meet the engineering standards, updating engineering standards as required
- Must be able to reduce spare part inventory by parts planning through preventive maintenance work orders
- Must be able to initiate capex plans to ensure that these meet business needs
- Must be able to apply RCM analysis to the commissioning of new plant equipment and other systems
- Must be able to ensure that these introductions into the production facility are handled efficiently and within minimum disruption
- Must be able to manage the maintenance department toward a total preventive maintenance program to enhance link between maintenance and production
- Must be able to ensure matters of mutual concern are addressed and resolved
- Must be able to maintain constructive and candid relationships by addressing issues in a timely manner
Desired Qualifications
- Five years of maintenance management experience
- Six Sigma Black Belt training
- Strong in analytical, innovative and strategic competencies
