Job Summary
Carry out routine, preventative, and breakdown maintenance on plant equipment, diagnose mechanical faults, and dismantle machinery to identify root causes. Organize maintenance activities by selecting spare parts, complete accurate records in Maximo CMMS, and propose improvement solutions to reduce downtime. Maintain tools and workshop areas while strictly following site safety procedures and PPE protocols. Support larger multi-technician activities and participate in an on-call rota once fully trained. Shift-based working includes 06:00-14:00 and 14:00-22:00 rotations.
Required Qualifications
- Proven experience in a mechanical maintenance role within an industrial or manufacturing environment
- Strong hands-on mechanical skills with the ability to diagnose and repair equipment faults
- Experience using maintenance tools and workshop machinery safely and effectively
- Confidence reading and interpreting mechanical drawings
- Good problem-solving skills and a practical, methodical approach to maintenance
- Basic knowledge of hydraulic and pneumatic systems and diagrams
- Basic welding capability
- Mechanical qualification or degree
Desired Qualifications
- Experience working with CMMS platforms such as Maximo would be beneficial
- A team-focused attitude and willingness to support colleagues when needed
- Comfortable working shifts and participating in an on-call rota once fully trained
