Job Summary
Maintenance Mechanic needed to service and repair fleet trucks, trailers, and heavy equipment at a recycling facility. Duties include diagnosing hydraulic and electrical systems, air conditioning, air brakes, computer diagnostics, basic electrical, lighting, and floor components; performing preventive maintenance; maintaining a clean, environmentally responsible work area; submitting neat paperwork and correctly using work orders and purchase orders; adhering to safety and regulatory requirements; and participating in ongoing training. Requires a High School Diploma or Equivalent and at least 2 years of relevant experience. Workplace is outdoors with exposure to temperature extremes; typical schedule Monday–Friday, with overtime as needed. Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or Equivalent
- At least 2 years of relevant work experience
- General maintenance experience in diagnosing and repairing hydraulic systems, suspensions, electrical, air conditioning, air brakes, computer diagnostics, basic electrical, lighting, and floors
- Possesses strong mechanical skills
- Possesses the skills and training necessary to maintain, service, and/or repair company trucks, trailers, and heavy equipment
- Displays a professional and courteous attitude to co-workers, supervisors, and the public
- Working outdoors with exposure to extreme heat, extreme cold, and other outdoor environmental conditions, constant standing, walking, climbing, working from heights, and lifting to 75 lbs
- Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills
