Maintenance Mechanic

Conduct general maintenance and repair work on mechanical, electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and carpentry systems while complying with code requirements. Cooperatively accept assignments from supervisors, efficiently complete tasks or refer jobs as appropriate, and respond to off-hour emergencies to ensure facility operation. Perform outside grounds work including lawn mowing, gardening, and snow removal, plus replace fixtures, move equipment, and assist with painting and preventative maintenance programs. Conduct scheduled inspections of facility systems, report safety hazards and equipment malfunctions promptly, and monitor maintenance inventory. Serve as a member of the Environmental Safety & Emergency Preparedness Committee and perform other duties as assigned to support department efficiency.
