Job Summary
Oversee performance and maintenance of large production machinery by performing preventive inspections, troubleshooting malfunctions, and repairing broken equipment. Dismantle, adjust, and assemble machines while using diagnostic tools to identify root causes of unexpected breakdowns. Lubricate moving parts, order replacement components, and coordinate with managers to schedule regular maintenance. Collaborate with production teams to implement modifications for new products and conduct test runs. Perform root cause analysis to develop permanent solutions for operational issues and document all work performed. Maintain shop areas, tools, and inventory while complying with safety guidelines and OSHA standards. Set up and break down food processing equipment as required.
Required Qualifications
- 3+ years' experience in Maintenance in a production environment
- 3+ years' experience with industrial electrical
- 1 year experience with boiler equipment
- Knowledge in food processing and / or chemical processing, GMP's, clean design, etc.
- Familiarity with batch and continuous processing including filtration techniques, extraction and / or product packaging
- Familiarity with food safety programs like SQF, Kosher, etc.
- High school diploma or GED
- Must have knowledge of single and three phases electric, AC, DC high and low voltages
- Ability to work overtime, off shift, and weekends as needed
- Must be able to lift to up 75 pounds
- Must be able to read and understand all electrical and mechanical schematic and diagrams
- Able to perform routine preventative maintenance on equipment and determine the proper type of corrective maintenance needed
- Must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily
