Job Summary
Perform troubleshooting, repairs, and preventive maintenance on industrial equipment including motors, pneumatic tools, hydraulic systems, and conveyor systems. Follow diagrams, sketches, operations manuals, and manufacturer instructions to keep machinery operating efficiently. Become familiar with the plant work order system and maintain a set of personal tools per the operator rate program. Work as part of a team while taking an active role in plant safety and continuous improvement initiatives. Adapt to scheduling requirements including shiftwork, overtime, and weekends where applicable.
Required Qualifications
- Ability to perform assigned repair and servicing tasks
- Willingness to work the assigned schedule
- Consistently demonstrate an understanding of all plant & departmental safety rules, standards, and programs
- Meet the essential physical requirements of the position
- Maintain regular and predictable attendance
- Have ability to understand verbal and written instructions from plant supervision and efficiently and effectively perform assigned tasks
