Job Summary
Perform troubleshooting, repairs, and preventive maintenance on industrial equipment including motors, pneumatic tools, hydraulic systems, and conveyor systems by following diagrams, sketches, operations manuals, and manufacturer instructions. Become familiar with the plant work order system and maintain proficiency in using hand and power tools, cranes, hoists, rigging equipment, and welders. Adhere to all safety and housekeeping rules, take an active role in plant safety and continuous improvement initiatives, and maintain a set of personal tools as specified in the operator rate program. Work as part of a team while adapting to scheduling requirements including shiftwork, overtime, and weekends.
Required Qualifications
- Ability to perform assigned repair and servicing tasks
- Willingness to work the assigned schedule
- Consistently demonstrate an understanding of all plant & departmental safety rules, standards, and programs
- Meet the essential physical requirements of the position
- Maintain regular and predictable attendance
- Have ability to understand verbal and written instructions from plant supervision and efficiently and effectively perform assigned tasks
