Job Summary
Perform necessary repairs and maintenance on warehouse equipment, including pallet jacks, high-lifts, and forklifts, to ensure day and night operations remain functional. Review equipment reports, record repair actions, and maintain logs per company policy while conducting preventative maintenance and securing the battery-charging area. Comply with safety guidelines such as Lock Out/Tag Out and manage company tools, inventory, and storage. If authorized, purchase tools from local vendors and perform light maintenance duties like painting, rack repairs, and basic plumbing. Requires six months of mechanic experience and welding ability.
Required Qualifications
- A minimum of six months previous mechanic experience
- Knowledge of equipment repair and operation
- able to repair and overhaul warehouse equipment
- welding ability
- able to read and write legibly
- able to follow orders
- basic mathematical skills (add, subtract, multiply, divide)
- able to work with little direct supervision
Desired Qualifications
- High School education or equivalent
- additional mechanic training
