Job Summary
Perform necessary repairs and maintenance on warehouse equipment including pallet jacks, highlifts, and forklifts to ensure day and night operations remain functional. Review equipment reports, record repair actions, and maintain preventative maintenance logs per USF policy. Comply with all safety guidelines regarding Lock Out/Tag Out and secure the battery-charging area. Manage company tools, inventory, and storage while performing light duties such as painting, rack repairs, and basic plumbing. Requires six months of mechanic experience, welding ability, and high school education. Schedule is Monday through Friday from 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM with pay starting at $25.00 per hour.
Required Qualifications
- A minimum of six months previous mechanic experience
- Knowledge of equipment repair and operation
- able to repair and overhaul warehouse equipment
- welding ability
- able to read and write legibly
- able to follow orders
- basic mathematical skills (add, subtract, multiply, divide)
- able to work with little direct supervision
Desired Qualifications
- High School education or equivalent
- additional mechanic training
- trade school degree
