Job Summary
Perform necessary repairs and maintenance on warehouse equipment such as pallet jacks, highlifts, and forklifts to ensure day and night operations remain functional. Review equipment reports, record repair actions, and maintain logs per company policy. Conduct preventative maintenance on machinery and secure the battery-charging area, including inventory management and safe tool storage. Comply with all safety guidelines regarding lock out/tag out procedures and perform light maintenance tasks like painting, rack repairs, and basic drywall work. Work Monday through Friday from 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM earning $25 per hour. As a current US Foods employee, you will support efficient shipping and receiving while maintaining a safe work environment.
Required Qualifications
- A minimum of six months previous mechanic experience
- Knowledge of equipment repair and operation
- able to repair and overhaul warehouse equipment
- welding ability
- able to read and write legibly
- able to follow orders
- basic mathematical skills (add, subtract, multiply, divide)
- able to work with little direct supervision
Desired Qualifications
- High School education or equivalent
- additional mechanic training or trade school degree
