Job Summary
Perform necessary repairs and maintenance on warehouse equipment such as pallet jacks, high-lifts, and forklifts to ensure day and night operations remain functional. Review equipment reports submitted by associates, record all actions and repairs, and maintain both repair and preventative maintenance logs per company policy. Execute preventative maintenance schedules and comply with all safety guidelines including Lock Out/Tag Out procedures. Secure the battery-charging area and manage company tools, inventory, and storage. If authorized, purchase tools and equipment from local vendors to fulfill required duties.
Required Qualifications
- A minimum of six months previous mechanic experience
- Knowledge of equipment repair and operation
- able to repair and overhaul warehouse equipment
- welding ability
- able to read and write legibly
- able to follow orders
- basic mathematical skills (add, subtract, multiply, divide)
- able to work with little direct supervision
Desired Qualifications
- High School education or equivalent
- additional mechanic training or trade school degree
