Job Summary
Perform necessary repairs and maintenance on warehouse equipment such as pallet jacks, high-lifts, and forklifts to ensure day and night operations remain functional. Review equipment reports submitted by associates, record all actions taken, and maintain repair logs per policy. Conduct preventative maintenance on machinery and secure the battery-charging area, including inventory management and safe storage of tools. Comply with all safety guidelines regarding lock-out/tag-out procedures and perform assigned light maintenance tasks like painting, rack repairs, and plumbing. Work Monday through Friday from 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM at a rate of $25.00 per hour.
Required Qualifications
- A minimum of six months previous mechanic experience
- Knowledge of equipment repair and operation
- able to repair and overhaul warehouse equipment
- welding ability
- able to read and write legibly
- able to follow orders
- basic mathematical skills (add, subtract, multiply, divide)
- able to work with little direct supervision
Desired Qualifications
- High School education or equivalent
- additional mechanic training
- trade school degree
