Job Summary
Perform necessary repairs and maintenance on warehouse equipment including pallet jacks, high-lifts, and forklifts to ensure day and night operations remain functional. Review equipment reports, record repairs in logs, and complete preventative maintenance with proper documentation. Maintain the battery-charging area, secure company tools, and perform light duties such as painting, rack repairs, and basic plumbing. Comply with all safety guidelines including Lock Out/Tag Out procedures. Requires six months of mechanic experience and welding ability. Schedule is Monday through Friday from 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM.
Required Qualifications
- A minimum of six months previous mechanic experience
- Knowledge of equipment repair and operation
- Welding ability
- Able to read and write legibly
- Able to follow orders
- Basic mathematical skills (add, subtract, multiply, divide)
- Able to work with little direct supervision
Desired Qualifications
- High School education or equivalent
- Additional mechanic training
- Trade school degree
