Job Summary
Perform necessary repairs and maintenance on warehouse equipment such as pallet jacks, highlifts, and forklifts to ensure day and night operations remain functional. Review equipment reports, record repair actions, and maintain PM logs per company policy. Execute preventative maintenance tasks including light bulb replacement, painting, and basic structural repairs while complying with all safety guidelines and lock-out/tag-out procedures. Secure the battery-charging area and manage company tools and inventory. Requires six months of prior mechanic experience, welding ability, and high school education. Schedule is Monday through Friday from 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM with a base pay of $25 per hour.
Required Qualifications
- A minimum of six months previous mechanic experience
- Knowledge of equipment repair and operation
- able to repair and overhaul warehouse equipment
- welding ability
- able to read and write legibly
- able to follow orders
- basic mathematical skills (add, subtract, multiply, divide)
- able to work with little direct supervision
Desired Qualifications
- High School education or equivalent
- additional mechanic training
- trade school degree
