Job Summary
Perform necessary repairs and maintenance on warehouse equipment including pallet jacks, highlifts, and forklifts to ensure day and night operations remain functional. Review equipment reports, record repair actions, and maintain logs per policy. Conduct preventative maintenance on machinery and secure the battery-charging area while complying with safety guidelines such as Lock Out/Tag Out. Manage company tools, inventory, and storage, and perform light maintenance duties like painting, rack repairs, and basic drywall work. Requires six months of mechanic experience and welding ability. Schedule is Monday through Friday from 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM with pay starting at $25.00 per hour.
Required Qualifications
- A minimum of six months previous mechanic experience
- Knowledge of equipment repair and operation
- able to repair and overhaul warehouse equipment
- welding ability
- able to read and write legibly
- able to follow orders
- basic mathematical skills (add, subtract, multiply, divide)
- able to work with little direct supervision
Desired Qualifications
- High School education or equivalent
- additional mechanic training or trade school degree
