Job Summary
Maintenance Mechanic I performs basic preventative maintenance on machinery, equipment, and tools; assists in repairs within the Maintenance Department, including woodworking machinery, infeed/outfeed systems, forklifts, and related components; orders parts, maintains maintenance records, follows safety rules, participates in CI and safety programs, and may handle hazardous waste/material procedures; must have high school diploma and 1 year machine repair experience, and be at least 18; equal opportunity employer with a focus on teamwork and career growth.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma
- Minimum 1 year of experience in machine repair in maintenance
- Working knowledge of electrical, hydraulic, and control technology, and welding
- Working knowledge of safe equipment practices and applicable laws, rules, and regulations
- Demonstrate working knowledge of hazardous waste and hazardous material handling procedures and practices
- Must be at least 18 years of age
