Job Summary
The Maintenance Mechanic is responsible for the setup, repair, and maintenance of all packaging line equipment, ensuring functionality and efficiency to minimize downtime. Key responsibilities include performing changeovers, planned preventative maintenance, training operators, conducting in-process inspections, and supporting general upkeep and minor repairs within the packaging department. Candidates should possess strong electrical and mechanical skills, experience in a high-speed packaging environment, and the ability to understand technical drawings.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 5 years of experience in a high-speed packaging environment
- Electrical and mechanical skills including having worked with PLC’s
- Ability to read and understand electrical and pneumatic drawings
- Ability to lift and move objects up to 50lbs
