Job Summary
Maintenance Mechanic position responsible for rebuilding, overhauling, inspecting, diagnosing, troubleshooting and repairing problems on all industrial and facility equipment. Supports assigned shift with flexibility for hours. Performs PM inspections, records repairs and work orders, rebuilds/overhauls CNC machine tools, handles hazardous waste disposal with proper training, collaborates with outside contractors, maintains 5S discipline, and develops procedures for new equipment installations using hydraulic, electrical, pneumatic, and mechanical troubleshooting skills. Requires reading schematics/prints, strong problem-solving, ability to work independently or in a team, and willingness to mentor others.
Required Qualifications
- High school education or equivalent
- 3 – 7 years of experience with Industrial Automated Systems Maintenance, Metal Fabrication Equipment Maintenance, Equipment Repair and Maintenance OR 2-year technical school degree with a certificate in Industrial Maintenance, Automated Industrial Systems, Industrial pneumatic/electronic controls, HVAC, plumbing, electricity, welding, fluid power, or mechanics
- 3 years of experience with Industrial Automated Systems Maintenance, Metal Fabrication Equipment Maintenance, Equipment Repair and Maintenance
- Special Engineer State of Minnesota Low Pressure Boiler License (if deemed necessary)
- Valid driver’s license
- Must be legally authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship
- Strong communication skills
- Ability to read, write, and perform basic math
- Print reading and electrical/hydraulic schematics
- Willing to mentor/train others
- Adherence to safety regulations
