Job Summary
Maintain, troubleshoot, and repair all processing and support systems, including balers, sort lines, loaders, and forklifts, to specifications consistent with Federal, State, and environmental regulations. Resolve technical issues throughout a shift by investigating root causes and implementing solutions. Increase equipment reliability through ownership of continuous improvement and preventive maintenance schedules. Coordinate closely with the Plant Manager and operations, supporting preoperative and postoperative inspections while ensuring repairs are entered into the CMMS. Act as the emergency coordinator for the plant and drive hazard identification, risk assessments, and control efforts. Adhere to all company and regulatory safety standards to make the plant a safer place to work. Perform other job-related duties as assigned, including motor and gearbox replacements, VFD troubleshooting, and pneumatic system maintenance.
Required Qualifications
- Equivalent of high school diploma or G.E.D. certification
- 3 (or more) years of direct experience maintaining same or similar machinery, in a production or processing environment
- Experience troubleshooting and maintaining pneumatic systems
- Experience troubleshooting hydraulic equipment, circuits, and components
- Experience reading technical drawings and schematics
- Motor and Gearbox replacements
- VFD trouble shooting
- The ability to speak, read, and write in English
- Ability to work in an open building environment with exposure to the elements
- Overtime and call-in work
- Maintain balance on slippery surfaces
- Lift, carry and push/pull up to 45 pounds without assistance
- Stand for up to eight hours per day
- The ability to stand, climb, bend, twist, and lift materials or tools as needed

- Experience with industrial controls (valves, sensors, actuators, control systems, Electro Hydraulic Experience, conveyor (tracking), rollers
- Experience selecting appropriate circuit protectors, wire and cable, sensors, safety hardware, PLC hardware, remote I/O, VFD and servo systems
