Job Summary
Troubleshoot, repair, and perform preventive maintenance on industrial production equipment, including fryers, packaging machines, conveyors, and hydraulic/pneumatic systems. Diagnose mechanical and basic electrical issues by reading manuals, schematics, and wiring diagrams while maintaining forklifts and pallet jacks. Complete preventive maintenance documentation, coordinate with outside vendors for specialized repairs, and respond to emergency equipment failures. Collaborate with Production and QA teams to minimize downtime while adhering to plant safety, USDA, SQF, and GMP requirements.
Required Qualifications
- 2+ years of industrial maintenance mechanic experience
- food, beverage, or CPG manufacturing experience
- Strong mechanical troubleshooting and preventive maintenance skills
- Experience with industrial production and packaging equipment
- Working knowledge of hydraulics, pneumatics, motors, bearings, belts, and gearboxes
- Ability to read equipment manuals, diagrams, and schematics
- Comfortable using hand tools, power tools, and precision measuring equipment
- Strong problem-solving, communication, organization, and documentation skills
- Ability to work independently and prioritize multiple maintenance needs
- Must be available for 1st & 2nd Shift
- Must work 40+ hours/week
- Must be located in Hackettstown, NJ
