Maintenance Mechanic Specialist

Job Summary
Provide guidance to maintenance mechanics, assign and schedule work, and distribute assignments to ensure work orders are completed accurately and in a timely manner. Interpret departmental policies, monitor workflow, and review staff output to maintain efficiency. Read blueprints, schematics, and technical documents to locate trouble areas and perform repairs on plumbing, electrical, HVAC, steam control, and related building systems. Conduct preventive maintenance on equipment and buildings to ensure safe and proper operations. Requires certification in a specific competency area, a valid Georgia driver's license, and the ability to lift 50 pounds. Shift runs 7a-3:30p.
Required Qualifications
- Skilled, trained and certified in one of the competency areas of plumbing, electrical, HVAC, steam control, and related building systems and equipment
- Certification and proven competency required in area of competency identified
- Associates Degree or two years experience
- Minimum of three years of experience in building maintenance OR 10 ten years of experience in one of the competency areas
- valid Georgia driver's license
- insurable driving record
- ability to lift 50 pounds and to bend, stoop, and twist
