Job Summary
Maintenance Mechanic responsible for skilled maintenance, repair, and renovation of district buildings, facilities, swimming pools, and grounds. Performs trades including HVAC, plumbing, electrical and other building trades; conducts general maintenance and repair of swimming pool mechanicals (pumps/boilers) and startup/winterization; troubleshoots electrical lighting, motors, and control systems; diagnoses and repairs heating and cooling systems and related components; performs preventive maintenance on HVAC units, pumps, bearings, lighting, plumbing, and other equipment; maintains tools, inventories parts, tracks material costs, and prepares purchase orders within budget; keeps daily activity records and work orders; develops professional relationships with district staff, vendors, and contractors; adheres to safety practices and participates in meetings and trainings; may lead other workers; may require on-call emergency response; physical demands include lifting, climbing, bending, and operating various hand/power tools; requires ability to read blueprints and effectively use Microsoft Office applications; district emphasizes equal opportunity employment and offers extensive benefits.
Required Qualifications
- Must be eighteen (18) years of age.
- Two (2) years of trade school in Mechanical Maintenance or a related field.
- One (1) year of experience in a mechanical skilled trade field.
- EPA Section 608, and/or Certified Pool Operator (CPO) certification preferred.
- Must possess a valid Colorado Driver License or the ability to obtain upon hire and maintain an acceptable driving record.
