Job Summary
Perform electrical and mechanical maintenance alongside mentors to troubleshoot, repair, and maintain state-of-the-art paperboard manufacturing equipment. Support preventive and predictive maintenance programs while participating in root cause analysis for unplanned shutdowns. Maintain advanced control systems including DCS and PLC, interpret blueprints and schematics, and complete work orders and change control procedures. Execute mechanical tasks such as valve replacement, pump repair, welding, and drive system maintenance while adhering to plant safety guidelines. Requires 3+ years of heavy industrial experience, welding skills, and ability to work weekends or holidays.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum age: 18
- High School Diploma or GED
- Two-year technical degree, registered apprenticeship, or equivalent formal training
- 3+ years of heavy industrial maintenance experience
- Multi-skilled maintenance background (mechanical and electrical)
- Knowledge of mechanical drives, pumps, seals, hydraulics, and lubrication
- Welding experience (stick, MIG, TIG)
- Machine shop skills (lathes, boring, balancing, CNC)
- Ability to work weekends/holidays and in varying conditions (heat, noise, indoor/outdoor)
- Candidates are required to undergo a drug screening after receiving a conditional job offer, but before starting employment
