Job Summary
Perform electrical and mechanical maintenance on state-of-the-art paperboard manufacturing equipment while supporting preventive and predictive maintenance programs. Troubleshoot and repair systems to minimize downtime, participate in root cause analysis for unplanned shutdowns, and maintain advanced control systems including DCS and PLC. Replace valves and gaskets, repair pumps, perform welding, and install piping and tubing. Interpret blueprints and schematics to complete work orders and change control procedures in adherence to plant safety guidelines. Requires 3+ years of heavy industrial experience, welding skills, and ability to work weekends and varying conditions.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum age: 18
- High School Diploma or GED
- Two-year technical degree, registered apprenticeship, or equivalent formal training
- 3+ years of heavy industrial maintenance experience
- Multi-skilled maintenance background (mechanical and electrical)
- Knowledge of mechanical drives, pumps, seals, hydraulics, and lubrication
- Welding experience (stick, MIG, TIG)
- Machine shop skills (lathes, boring, balancing, CNC)
- Ability to work weekends/holidays and in varying conditions (heat, noise, indoor/outdoor)
- Candidates are required to undergo a drug screening after receiving a conditional job offer, but before starting employment
