Job Summary
Maintenance Mechanic responsible for repair and general maintenance of machinery and equipment including electric motors, pneumatics, hydraulics, control wiring, conveyor systems, HVAC systems, production machines, and facility upkeep. Responsibilities include completing maintenance requests via a ticket system, inspecting equipment, dismantling devices to replace defective parts, performing metalworking tasks with lathe/drill press/grinder, ordering parts, repairing electrical equipment, and maintaining safety and building maintenance tasks. Requires 5 years of facility maintenance experience, an Associate's degree or equivalent training, and the ability to lift up to 50 pounds; includes preventative maintenance, records maintenance, and working with security/access as needed.
Required Qualifications
- Associate's degree or equivalent from two-year college or technical school; or six months to one year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
- 5 years minimum maintenance facility experience
- Experience working with maintenance ticket system
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
- Comfortable performing building maintenance tasks (painting, replacing lights, filters)
- Knowledge of electrical equipment repairs
- Ability to use metalworking tools (lathe, drill press, grinder)
- Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and diagrams
- Commitment to safety and on-time performance
- Ability to perform preventative maintenance and maintain records
- Understanding of HVAC, conveyors, hydraulics, pneumatics
