Job Summary
Repair and maintain high-speed production equipment, perform changeovers, and troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems. Schedule preventative maintenance, install or rebuild machinery, and respond to line calls from supervisors or operators. Independently resolve complex technical issues, synthesize diverse information, and lead resolution of unusual problems while coordinating multiple projects. Follow strict safety protocols, including lock-out/tag-out procedures and OSHA training, and maintain a cooperative working environment. Work 12-hour shifts with flexibility for days, evenings, and weekends. Requires a journeyman-level background, schematic reading skills, and proficiency in PLCs and MP2 software.
Required Qualifications
- Full journeyman in Machine Repair, Plant Mechanic, or Millright
- Proficient in reading mechanical/electrical prints
- Proficient in reading pneumatic schematics
- Proficient in reading hydraulic schematics
- Proficient in pipe fitting skills of air, water, hydraulics
- Good attendance record
- Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds
- Must be able to push or pull with a dolly or pallet jack up to 500 lbs
- High School Diploma or GED
- Minimum of 3 - 5 years' experience in related field
- Proven industry experience
- Beverage experience
- Ability to read schematics
- Computer literacy
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office products including Excel and Word
- Knowledge of MP2 software
- PLC experience
- Strong analytical skills
- Knowledgeable on OSHA laws
- Ability to implement all OSHA required training for the department
- Excellent oral and written communications skills in English
- Must be 18 years or older
- Favorable background
- Drug exam
- Ability and willingness to work 12 hour shifts
- Flexibility to work a flexible Full Time schedule that may include weekends and holidays
Desired Qualifications
- Bilingual in Spanish
- Proven industry experience, beverage experience a plus
- Knowledge of MP2 software and PLC experience plus
