Job Summary
Maintenance Mechanic responsible for light maintenance repair and cleaning tasks in a healthcare setting, with emphasis on safety and compliance. Must have basic mechanical knowledge and competence in using hand tools, meters, gauges, and reading blueprints/schematics/technical manuals. Able to troubleshoot and explain conditions clearly, work with minimal supervision, and adhere to policies and dress code. May perform installation and maintenance of mechanical and stationary systems (including boiler operations), and may handle related duties such as electrical, plumbing, carpentry, painting, HVAC, and bed repair. On-call duties may be required. Requires knowledge of applicable federal, state, and local codes and standards; effective written and verbal communication skills; ability to work across all shifts. High school diploma or equivalent preferred; trade/vocational training preferred; minimum two years’ experience in building systems preferred; valid driver’s license may be required depending on location.
