Job Summary
Perform preventative and corrective maintenance on facility equipment including make-up air units, generators, boilers, and compressors. Analyze and repair malfunctioning mechanical, pneumatic, and electromechanical systems while adhering to all safety and engineering procedures. Maintain accurate records in the Computerized Maintenance Management System and operate forklifts and cranes. Conduct water treatment analysis and take corrective action as needed. Work rotating day/night shifts in a 4-on/4-off schedule with 12-hour shifts. The facility utilizes unique equipment during the manufacturing process, demanding a highly skilled team to ensure safe, efficient, and reliable operation.
Required Qualifications
- U.S. Person (lawful permanent resident, U.S. citizen, U.S. national, refugee, or asylee status)
- HS Diploma
- GED (in the absence of a HS diploma)
- 1 year of experience in a maintenance or other mechanical focused role
- Basic electrical troubleshooting skills
- Familiarity with Distributive Control Systems
- Ability to solve problems and exercise creativity to develop and/or implement practical solutions
- Proficient computer skills to include Microsoft Office
- Must be able to work onsite
- Must be available for rotating day/night shift every 2 months
- Must be able to work 12-hour shifts (7:00AM - 7:00PM / 7:00PM – 7:00AM)
- Must be able to operate Forklift 3-ton and 5-ton
- Must be able to operate Cranes
- Must be able to operate Hand tools
- Must be able to operate Power tools
- Must be able to operate Digital Multimeter
- Must be able to operate Precision alignment tools
- Must be able to operate make-up air units (MAU)
- Must be able to operate natural gas fired generators
- Must be able to operate oil/water separators
- Must be able to operate cooling water towers
- Must be able to operate vacuum pumps
- Must be able to operate air compressors
- Must be able to operate variable frequency drives
- Must be able to operate boilers
- Must be able to operate steam systems
- Must be able to operate water treatment plant and associated equipment
- Must be able to analyze and repair all malfunctioning equipment or systems i.e., Mechanical, Pneumatic and Electro-mechanical
- Must be able to maintain accurate maintenance records utilizing a Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS)
- Must be able to perform water treatment analysis and take corrective action
- Must be able to ensure a clean and organized work area is maintained
Desired Qualifications
- Background in electrical systems troubleshooting and repair
- 1 or more year of experience in a manufacturing environment
- Possess and practice good people skills
- Must have the ability to solve problems and exercise creativity to develop and/or implement practical solutions
