Job Summary
Troubleshoot, repair, and fabricate machinery in a timely, safe, and accurate manner while minimizing production impact. Perform skilled fitting and aligning using precision instruments, maintain machines for all departments, and work from drawings and specifications. Install, assemble, or disassemble equipment and inspect parts to detect wear or misalignment. Remove and replace worn components in drive mechanisms or hydraulic systems, find and order parts as needed, and execute welding, pneumatics, hydraulics, and plumbing duties. Shifts run 8 hours Monday through Friday, with a 2:30pm to 10:30pm option available. Starting rate is $33/hr, higher based on experience. This role supports Western States Envelope and Label Company's production facilities, leveraging over 115 years of industry experience to ensure smooth operations for envelope and label manufacturing.
Required Qualifications
- Prior Manufacturing Maintenance experience
- Associate Degree OR equivalent from two-year college or technical school
- minimum of three years related experience and/or training
- equivalent combination of education and experience
- Strong mechanical ability, analysis and troubleshooting skills within a production and/or manufacturing environment
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals
- Ability to speak effectively with employees of the organization
- Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals
- Ability to read and interpret ruler measurements
- Ability to walk and stand frequently during an eight-hour shift
- Ability to move up to 50 lbs
- Ability to stand for approximate duration of scheduled shift (minus paid breaks)
