Job Summary
Conduct preventive and predictive maintenance on production machinery and mechanical equipment, following diagrams, manuals, and engineering specifications to ensure standard operating conditions. Troubleshoot malfunctions by observing devices, listening for issues, and using precision measuring instruments to locate problems and remove defective parts. Perform repairs on production machines, conserve resources, and process necessary documentation while controlling downtime by informing workers of routine techniques. Investigate equipment failures to diagnose faulty operation and recommend improvements, ensuring all activities comply with OSHA and plant safety standards. Maintain a safe, clean working environment and assist with planning plant improvements and expansions.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or G.E.D.
- 5 years' Experience in Industrial Plant Maintenance / Preventative Maintenance Procedures
- Technical understanding, zeal and ability to deal with uncertainty
- Basic understanding of Safety procedures
- Experience with Power Tools
- Critical decision-making ability
- Flexibility and adaptability and ability to focus and pay attention to detail
Desired Qualifications
- Experience in Industrial Manufacturing a plus
