Job Summary
Maintenance Mechanic responsible for the efficient operation and maintenance of plant equipment to ensure product quality, employee safety, and adherence to food safety standards and regulatory requirements; duties include operating equipment safely, completing preventive maintenance, maintaining maintenance areas and records, troubleshooting and repairing equipment, installing/moving equipment, planning work sequences, communicating maintenance issues to production, supporting health/safety action plans with QA and others, conducting lubrication rounds, and performing other maintenance tasks as assigned; requires ability to obtain respirator certification and certifications for forklift/scissor/boom lifts, and proficiency with CMMS, electrical and mechanical plans, and PLC/control systems; shift requires night hours and willingness to work weekends/holidays, with physical demands including lifting up to 50 pounds and extensive walking/standing.
Required Qualifications
- 5+ years of maintenance experience
- 2+ years of manufacturing experience; food manufacturing experience preferred or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Ability to obtain Full-face respirator certification (provided by company)
- Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel, CMMS, Control System
- Able to read electrical and mechanical plans
- Ability to obtain forklift/scissor lift/boom lift certification
- Basic tool set including combo wrenches, screwdrivers, basic socket set, channel locks, adjustable wrenches, small sledgehammer
