Job Summary
Perform changeovers, answer line calls, and troubleshoot mechanical or electrical problems in high-speed production equipment. Repair and maintain new installations while executing preventative maintenance schedules and developing future requirements. Install or rebuild machinery, troubleshoot pneumatic and hydraulic systems, and independently resolve complex technical issues after receiving general instructions. Apply basic electrical skills and read mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic schematics. Adhere to OSHA protocols, including lockout/tagout procedures, and complete all required safety training. Coordinate multiple projects while prioritizing competing demands, interact positively with operators and supervisors, and report department objectives during daily meetings. Work flexible 12-hour shifts across days, evenings, and weekends, lifting up to 50 pounds and operating pallet jacks.
Required Qualifications
- Full journeyman in Machine Repair, Plant Mechanic, or Millright
- Proficient in reading mechanical/electrical prints
- Proficient in reading pneumatic schematics
- Proficient in reading hydraulic schematics
- Proficient in pipe fitting skills of air, water, hydraulics
- Good attendance record
- Ability to read schematics
- Computer literacy required with proficiency in Microsoft Office products including Excel and Word
- Knowledge of MP2 software
- PLC experience
- Strong analytical skills
- Knowledgeable on OSHA laws and can implement all OSHA required training for the department
- Excellent oral and written communications skills in English
- Must be 18 years or older
- Favorable background and drug exam
- Ability and willingness to work 12 hour shifts
- Flexibility to work a flexible Full Time schedule that may include weekends and holidays
Desired Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED preferred or equivalent experience
- Proven industry experience
- Beverage experience
- Bilingual in Spanish
- Ability to read, analyze, and interpret common information, reports and other documents
- Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from customers, regulatory agencies, or company representatives
- Ability to effectively present information to management
