Job Summary
Read blueprints and schematic drawings to determine work procedures for installing, troubleshooting, and maintaining power transmission, vacuum, hydraulic, pneumatic systems, and programmable logic controls. Inspect machinery to detect irregularities, adjust equipment, and repair or replace defective parts using hand and power tools, welding, and machine tools like lathes. Perform preventative maintenance, overhauls, and design improvements on production bakery equipment while ensuring compliance with food safety, health, safety, and environmental policies. Work in a fast-paced environment across flexible shifts from Sunday to Saturday, handling occasional heavy lifting up to 50 lbs.
Required Qualifications
- Valid Red Seal Millwright License - Industrial Millwright 433A
- 5+ years of industrial mechanical experience, preferably in the food industry
- Proven track record working with mechanics, machine shop practices, pneumatic & hydraulic fields
- Problem solving skills
- Good communication skills
- Comfortable using computers
- Ability to work well within a team and independently
- Comfortable with occasional heavy lifting up to 50 lbs
- Ability to work a flexible shift day/afternoon/night, Sunday to Saturday, and holidays
