Job Summary
The Maintenance Mechanic is responsible for performing repairs, preventative maintenance, and equipment improvements to ensure uninterrupted production. Key responsibilities include performing repairs and scheduled maintenance on plant equipment, responding promptly to maintenance requests to support production, completing assigned work orders with minimal supervision, and maintaining and improving machinery durability and process efficiency. Candidates should have a high school diploma or equivalent, with a preference for five years of experience in an industrial manufacturing environment, strong mechanical aptitude, basic knowledge of hydraulic and pneumatic systems, and a commitment to safety and quality standards.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Five (5) years of experience in an industrial manufacturing environment preferred
- Strong mechanical aptitude with knowledge of mechanical conveying systems
- Basic knowledge of hydraulic and pneumatic systems
- Proven ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Commitment to safety, health, and quality standards
- Willingness to work occasional overtime as needed
Desired Qualifications
- Millwright certification preferred
- Welding certification preferred
