Job Summary
Maintenance Mechanic responsible for installing, repairing, and maintaining plant equipment and boilers at Medico Long Beach. Performs preventive maintenance on engines, motors, pneumatic tools, conveyors, tunnel washers, washers, dryers, and related production machinery following diagrams, manuals, and engineering specifications. Locates problems with mechanical devices, dismantles defective parts, measures tolerances with calipers/micrometers, adjusts components, reviews maintenance records, inventories parts, and prepares mechanical maintenance reports. Maintains safe, clean working environment and ensures downtime is minimized through routine preventive maintenance. Requires hands-on skills in electrical, plumbing, welding, carpentry, and boiler applications; ability to read operation manuals and electrical schematics; uses hand and power tools; able to lift 50 lbs; available for full-time, with overtime and weekend shifts."
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Must be able to read, write and communicate effectively
- Basic computer skills
- Experience working on machinery, Electrical, plumbing, welding, carpentry and boiler applications
- Ability to trouble shoot from operation manuals, manufactures instruction electrical schematics at a basic level
- Must have hand tools and power tool experience
- Must be able to lift, push or pull 50 lbs. or more
- Must be available for 8-hour shift + overtime
- Work Location: In person
