Maintenance Mechanic

Job Summary
Lead maintenance operations by directing equipment troubleshooting to determine root causes and initiate remedial actions while overseeing quality repairs to improve production availability. Execute daily and weekly schedules to ensure timely completion, collecting and analyzing work delay codes to identify challenges and reduce delays. Enforce safety and environmental rules, participating in investigations as required and holding employees accountable for achieving maintenance goals through coaching and feedback. Ensure preventative maintenance compliance with proper documentation, assist in sourcing supplies within budget, and apply corporate security guidelines effectively. Utilize KPIs such as PM and schedule compliance to improve execution while managing inventory and prioritizing resources in a fast-paced environment.
Required Qualifications
- Three to five years of work experience in a manufacturing plant as a Maintenance Mechanic/Electrician
- Knowledge and experience working with high-speed equipment and electric-pneumatic controls
- Able to use both a MIG welder, and ARC welder
- Able to order parts and maintain inventory of all maintenance-related material
- Advanced working knowledge on mechanical/electrical systems and components; including, but not limited to, Pneumatic, Hydraulic, Pumps, Gear Boxes, Power Transmission, Material Handling, Sensor, Transmitters, DC and AC circuits, Transformers, Power and Energy, Arc Flash
- Working knowledge and experience on Automation; Industrial Process and Control system; PLC; Measuring Devices; Instrumentation; Robotic Application; Bulk Handling System
- Working knowledge and experience on Facility Maintenance (Roof, Dock, plumbing) and Plant Equipment (Boiler, Air Compressors, Ammonia/Freon/Glycol Refrigeration, HVAC, Ventilation, Cooling Tower, Condenser, Backflow preventer, Sprinkler and Fire Extinguisher, Wastewater System, ...)
- Planning, scheduling & assigning ability while well experienced in defining priorities, required skills & resources
- Computer Savvy, hold practical knowledge on Microsoft Office
- Being an example for others; being a Safety-Oriented Supervisor with a positive 'can do attitude'
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills; ability to work collaboratively and effectively with other departments
Desired Qualifications
- Ability to use a lathe, and milling machine considered an asset
