Job Summary
Maintenance Mechanic Lead at Macy’s in Portland, OR TBD by listing but located in Portland, TN per scraper hint; supervises maintenance and repair of equipment and building systems in an automated warehouse facility, may perform hands-on maintenance, develops preventive maintenance programs, prepares estimates and reports, manages spare parts inventory and budget compliance, ensures regulatory compliance (OSHA, EPA, NFRP), trains personnel, and leads a maintenance team to minimize downtime while maintaining safety and quality. Requires 2-5 years of warehouse maintenance experience, knowledge of mechanical and electrical systems, familiarity with automated warehouse equipment, OSHA/state/local safety standards, and strong communication, planning, and computer/handheld device skills.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- 2-5 Years Experience in maintenance/warehouse environment
- Experience in operation and maintenance of a warehouse distribution center or equivalent
- Knowledge of mechanical and electrical design, maintenance and repair fundamentals of automated industrial production equipment
- Automated warehouse systems knowledge preferred
- Proficiency in OSHA, State and Local safety standards and the MLO Safety program standards
- Ability to read, understand and interpret safety rules and operating instructions in English
- Resourceful self-starter, works well independently and in a team
- Ability to work a flexible schedule including day, evening, weekends, and/or holidays
