Job Summary
Supervisor-level maintenance lead responsible for supervising the maintenance and repair of all equipment and building systems in the Automated Warehouse Facility. Duties include supervising and inspecting maintenance staff, hands-on participation in maintenance tasks, preparing estimates and requisitions, developing preventive maintenance programs, generating progress reports, monitoring budget and inventory for spare parts, ensuring regulatory compliance (OSHA, EPA, NFRP), and training staff. Requires 2-5 years of relevant experience, a high school diploma or equivalent, ability to read and interpret technical and safety documents in English, strong communication skills, proficiency with PCs and handheld devices, and the ability to work a flexible schedule that may include weekends and holidays. The role may involve some hands-on maintenance activities and consideration of cost-effective operations.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- 2-5 years experience in operation and maintenance of a warehouse distribution center or equivalent
- Knowledge of mechanical and electrical design, maintenance and repair fundamentals of automated industrial production equipment
- Proficiency with OSHA, State and Local safety standards and the MLO Safety program standards
- Ability to read and interpret employment policies and manuals in English
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Proficient in using computers and handheld technology
- Flexible schedule including day, evening, weekends, and holidays
