Job Summary
As a Maintenance Mechanic III, you will be responsible for the efficient setup and operation of various packaging and production equipment in a pharmaceutical environment. Key duties include troubleshooting and repairing equipment, performing preventative maintenance, and ensuring adherence to safety practices and standard operating procedures. The role requires a License Industrial Mechanic Millwright (433A) and significant experience within the industry, as well as strong technical and electrical aptitude. Candidates should have a solid understanding of pneumatic systems, HVAC, and packaging equipment.
Required Qualifications
- License Industrial Mechanic Millwright (433A)
- 6 to 10 years of working experience exclusively as a technician in a pharmaceutical packaging environment
- General technical knowledge and experience concerning electrical, pneumatic, and HVAC
- Familiarity with fill, blistering, bottling, capping, carton packaging, and serialization equipment
- Analytical, problem solving and decision-making skills
- Core skills in Mathematics and English usually associated with grade 12
- Interpersonal skills to work co-operatively with Line Leaders, Packagers, and Project Coordinators/Managers
Desired Qualifications
- Fabrication and basic TIG welding
- Ability to exhibit sound and accurate judgment
- Ability to adapt to changing work environments
- Ability to demonstrate attention to detail
- Experience as a technician working on complex pharmaceutical or food packaging equipment
Additional Requirements
- None licensed candidates must complete and pass a technical aptitude test involving hands-on demonstration
