Job Summary
Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems while conducting preventive and predictive maintenance using external measuring tools. Troubleshoot equipment breakdowns efficiently to minimize production downtime and utilize the CMMS to record activities and manage work orders. Occasionally provide technical guidance to less experienced staff and apply safety and food quality standards across a next-generation facility. Work independently in a refrigerated environment, standing for extended periods, and adhere to production timelines including weekend availability.
Required Qualifications
- 3 to 5 years of maintenance mechanic experience
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Strong communication skills
- Solid teamwork skills
- Ability to read and write in English
- Proficiency in mechanical and electrical troubleshooting
- Moderate knowledge of safety regulations
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and schematics
- Ability to work within timelines and under pressure based on production needs
- Availability to work scheduled hours, including weekends as required
- Ability to stand, bend, and climb stairs for extended periods (10–12 hours per day as needed)
- Ability to work in a refrigerated environment (32–36 °F)
- Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds multiple times throughout the day
Desired Qualifications
- Bilingual preferred English and Spanish
- Basic knowledge of PLC Programmable Logic Controller systems
