Job Summary
Maintenance Mechanic II (Hospital) performs general maintenance across building structure and systems including HVAC, refrigeration, electrical, plumbing, and related items. Responsibilities include taking readings, logging data, responding to trouble calls for Chesapeake Regional Medical Group facilities, maintaining preventive maintenance work orders, repairing light fixtures, unclogging plumbing, operating plumbing tools, and assisting with alarm system testing. Requires independent decision-making, observation of equipment for issues, and flexibility to support patient care with on-site, facility-focused duties. Minimum education is high school diploma or equivalent; typical candidate has 1+ year in facility maintenance and a valid driver’s license; preferred EPA refrigerant certification and trade/vocational training.
Required Qualifications

- Valid driver's license
- EPA Type I, Type II or Universal Refrigerant Certification (preferred)
