Job Summary
Maintenance Mechanic II performs preventive maintenance and repair to keep plant equipment and facilities in good operating condition. Responsibilities include maintenance of large forging presses, forklifts, saws, air compressors, furnaces, cooling towers, and related systems; tasks include inspections, lubrication, filter changes, motor/pump/valve repair and troubleshooting, metal fabrication, and welding. Must follow lockout/tagout, confined space, and fall protection procedures; reads schematics and applies knowledge of hydraulics and pneumatics; capable of using a wide range of hand and power tools and safely operating a forklift. Requires 5-7 years of related mechanical experience and a High School diploma or GED. ITAR compliance is required; US Citizens or Permanent Residents only.
