Job Summary
Maintenance Mechanic I responsible for supporting plant production by repairing and performing preventive maintenance on manufacturing equipment, troubleshooting electrical, electronic, mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and vacuum systems, and modifying production machines for technology improvements. The role includes installing equipment, applying precision maintenance in preventive, corrective, and project activities, assisting with PMT/TPM/Lean Maintenance initiatives, training manufacturing operators, analyzing machine failures for root cause, assisting in annual inspections, using PLC inputs/outputs for troubleshooting, reading drawings, and using multi-meters. Collaborates with engineers, technologists, vendors, and quality personnel on equipment projects, supports standard procedures for troubleshooting and changeovers, and maintains Maximo work orders and quality records. May involve traveling for factory acceptance and training; the position requires lifting up to 50 pounds, overtime, and rotating duties. Emphasizes cGMP compliance, 6S, safety, and equitable pay practices.
Required Qualifications
- Associate’s degree preferred; High School Diploma/GED with at least 2 years of mechanical systems repair, industrial maintenance, or equivalent technical experience required.
