Maintenance Mechanic I

Job Summary
Perform preventative maintenance by changing coolants, lubricants, and filters per schedule, and execute facility upkeep including lightbulb replacement, painting, and simple plumbing. Inspect and repair manufacturing and facility equipment using manual and power tools, partnering with senior mechanics for complex repairs. Maintain work area cleanliness and wear required personal protective equipment at all times. Apply basic math, computer, and time-management skills to self-direct projects within defined timeframes while demonstrating attention to detail and strong communication abilities. Required Qualifications
- One (1) year relevant experience
- Knowledge of machine repair, plumbing, pipefitting, welding, sheet metal, mill-wright and/or general maintenance
- Ability to understand and act on verbal and written instructions
- Basic math, computer and time-management skills
- Ability to self-direct work to complete project within defined time frame
- Attention to detail
- Excellent listening, verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to work with a diverse variety of people from different cultures and backgrounds
- Must be able to wear required personal protective equipment at all times in areas where mandatory
