Job Summary
Maintenance Mechanic I responsible for repair, installation and general upkeep of manufacturing machinery and facilities in an advanced ceramics manufacturing environment. Works in a team to meet departmental goals; performs preventative maintenance (e.g., changing coolants, lubricants or filters), facility upkeep (lightbulbs, painting, simple plumbing), and basic inspections using manual and power tools. Partners with more senior mechanics to address complex equipment, adheres to safety and PPE requirements, and communicates effectively. Requires ability to understand and act on verbal and written instructions, basic math, and self-direction to complete projects within defined timeframes.
